The purpose of this blog is for our International Marketing group paper. For this project we were to choose a company's product to introduce into a country. We chose Pfizer's medical supplies for our company. We want to introduce their products to Haiti after their earthquake hit of 2010.

Will Haiti's People accept Pfizer Products?
Although scientific data collection on disease and living conditions directly correlates with a need for assistance, local religious practices might be a hindrance for Pfizer when opening within this new market. Specifically in reference to the majority of the Haitian population in current practice of voodoo, how might this affect the willingness to use modern medicine? Modifying the product to better fit the Haitian culture is truly not an option. Because the product at hand is medicine, altering its makeup could change chemical components and overall effectiveness. However marketing the medicine in a way that abides by the accepted principles of voodoo culture would be the best strategy for making sales in Haiti. In order to do so, Pfizer would need to hire a native Haitian with knowledge on how to incorporate modern medicine in voodoo culture.
